EMI has established regional and international recognition of its capabilities by:
- Signing the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (CIPM MRA)
- Being a full member of Gulf Association for Metrology (GULFMET)
- Being an associate member of APMP
- Being accredited by an accreditation body member of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) (scope of accreditation)
- Cooperating with some of the most well-known national metrology institutes.
EMI has established cooperation with well-known National Metrology Institutes internationally and with major research and academic institutes of the UAE, to direct and/or participate in research work for the development and/or improvement of measurement standards and methods to meet the changing needs and to support the transfer of technologies in metrology from research to industry.
